Raúl E. Macchiavelli is a Professor and the Dean and Director of the College of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez, the land grant university in Puerto Rico. Dr. Macchiavelli has more than 40 years of experience teaching and doing research in applied statistical methods for agriculture. He has collaborated with scientists analyzing data and solving relevant problems in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, not only in Puerto Rico but also in the US, Latin America, and Spain. As Dean and Director of Agricultural Sciences, he oversees the activities of more than 200 teaching, research, and extension faculty working on campus, in the experiment stations, and in the extension offices throughout the island.
